LEARNING OBJECTIVES

“Recognizing quality is much like recognizing art; everybody sees something different. With regard to online courses, your students, faculty, administrators, peers, and accrediting bodies may not know what to look for in assessing quality. Defining quality standards proves crucial to successful course design and implementation. “Quality Matters is a nationally recognized organization that promotes quality design of online and blended courses with a peer-review process.

After completing the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of the current standards for designing an effective online course. They will be able to:

A. Describe underlying principles of Quality Matters (QM)

B. Use QM Rubric and explain scoring system

C. Apply the QM Rubric to Online Course and scenarios

Worshop completers will receive Certificate for completing the Quality Matters Peer Reviewer Training. Certificate will be issued by QM/MarylandOnline.
